Rise CEO shortlisted for prestigious award

Local health and wellbeing charity Rise’s chief executive officer has been shortlisted for an award - in a category that recognises women who are doing amazing work.

Clare Morley is shortlisted in the North East Chamber of Commerce (NECC) Inspiring Females Awards, in the category of 'Inspiring female one to watch’.

This new category is open to individuals who are doing amazing work. Nominees are experienced in their field – a future star to look out for and ‘one to watch’.

Simon Gordon, chair of Rise, said: “Clare thoroughly deserves this nomination. With Clare at the helm, Rise is experiencing an exciting period of growth and expansion. The charity is doing some amazing work around many of the big issues that are facing our communities today, using the power of sport and physical activity to tackle inequalities and create a higher quality of life for those who need it the most in our region.”

The awards ceremony takes place on Friday 24 November 2023 at Newcastle Civic Centre.
